The Front Office Manager at Renaissance Baton Rouge plays a vital role in the management and daily operations of guest services and front office functions. This full-time position oversees multiple departments including Guest Services, Concierge and Uniformed Services, Housekeeping, Laundry, Security, Communications, and Reservations. The primary focus is to deliver attentive, friendly, efficient, and courteous service to all guests while maximizing room revenue and productivity. The Front Office Manager is responsible not only for operational excellence but also for developing managers and employees to succeed in their roles. This leadership position requires managing staff morale, motivating teams, facilitating training programs, and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.

The ideal candidate for the Front Office Manager role will have at least four years of progressive experience in the hotel or a related field, including previous management experience. Proficiency with Windows and Microsoft Office applications is essential. This position demands strong communication skills, the ability to evaluate and select appropriate courses of action quickly and effectively, and the capacity to work well under pressure while maintaining composure and objectivity. The Front Office Manager must also be adept at handling financial information and data, with basic arithmetic skills necessary for budgeting and expense monitoring.

Essential functions of this role include maintaining a warm and friendly demeanor with guests and staff, responding promptly to guest requests and complaints, conducting interviews and hiring in coordination with Human Resources, monitoring room revenue and occupancy to maximize profitability, and ensuring all operational areas meet cleanliness and maintenance standards. The Front Office Manager will also be actively involved in labor expense control, participate in the manager-on-duty program, operate front office computer systems, and ensure all team members are knowledgeable about corporate marketing programs and service standards. This role requires a hands-on approach, including daily tours of operating departments to solicit employee feedback and uphold a high-quality guest experience.

Job Duties
