The Front Desk Guest Services Agent role at Pacific Hospitality Group is a pivotal position focused on delivering a warm, professional, and seamless guest experience from check-in to check-out. This role extends beyond the traditional front desk responsibilities, requiring initiative, a guest-first attitude, and the ability to manage multiple guest services throughout their stay. The agent is empowered to actively engage with guests and support hotel operations, ensuring each guest feels valued and their experience is distinct and memorable. From greeting guests to handling administrative tasks and addressing operational needs, the Front Desk Guest Services Agent plays an essential role in embodying the company’s guiding principles of integrity, respect, and customer focus. This position demands strong communication skills, the ability to multitask, intermediate computer proficiency, and the physical stamina to support varied duties including standing for extended periods and occasional lifting.

Job Requirements

  • Must be willing to work weekends and holidays
  • Ability to stand for an 8-hour shift
  • Must be able to count cash and make change
  • Read, write and speak English fluently
  • Must be able to work semi-independently
  • Ability to communicate effectively with the public and other associates
  • Ability to interact with all associates and guests of the hotel

Job Qualifications

  • Ability to interact with all associates and guests of the hotel
  • Ability to work semi-independently without direct supervision by following all Hyatt Place standards
  • Intermediate level computer skills and knowledge of MS Excel required
  • Ability to work under minimal supervision
  • Read, write, and speak English fluently
  • Must be able to count cash and make change
  • Ability to communicate effectively with the public and other associates

Job Duties

  • Greet all guests with a warm welcome
  • Check guests in and out of rooms, as well as assigning rooms to guests
  • Answer telephones and take messages when needed
  • Make, confirm, or cancel guest reservations
  • Assist guests when shuttle services are requested
  • Compute bills and collect payment for guests
  • Replenish computer paper supply
  • Assist night audit team members with posting and balancing of shift work
  • Attend all meetings as requested or assigned
  • Complete special projects as assigned by management
  • Manage the breakfast shift when scheduled as breakfast coverage
