This role as Front Office Manager at The Lofton Hotel offers an exciting and rewarding career opportunity within Minnesota's first Hilton Tapestry Collection hotel. The manager will have the responsibility of overseeing and motivating the front office associates to ensure smooth operations, adherence to service standards, and positive guest interactions. This employment type is full-time, with a competitive salary range of $75,000 to $85,000 per year.

The Front Office Manager role encompasses a variety of duties essential to departmental success, such as managing daily staffing, training, scheduling, and discipline for front office staff. The manager will also be tasked with maintaining high standards of appearance, conduct, and hygiene among associates, as well as managing room reservation systems, inventory supplies, budgeting, and revenue maximization strategies. Acting as a key communication hub, this professional will interact extensively with both guests and employees to resolve complaints, provide direction, and promote corporate initiatives such as the Hilton Honors program.

Candidates for this position must bring considerable expertise in hotel front office operations, including proficiency with computer registration and reservation systems, strong organizational and supervisory skills, and the ability to analyze operational data for informed decision-making. The role also demands excellent communication skills, patience, tact, and diplomacy in handling guest and employee concerns. A minimum of two to five years of experience in assistant or front office management is required, along with CPR or First Aid certification preferred. Candidates with a four-year degree and additional language abilities will have an advantage.

Job Duties

  • Manages and motivates all front office associates with daily supervision including staffing, training, discipline, scheduling, and performance monitoring
  • Establish and maintain effective associate relations
  • Ensure appropriate standards of conduct, dress, hygiene and appearance are maintained
  • Checks room reservations, front office systems, supplies inventory, scheduling, and departmental budgeting to maximize revenue
  • Communicates with guests and employees verbally and in writing to answer questions and provide direction
  • Organizes, conducts, and/or attends meetings to disseminate pertinent information
  • Implements and monitors all corporate marketing programs to include Hilton Honors
  • Receives and resolves all departmental guest complaints in timely manner and within company guidelines
  • Performs room inspections requiring physical activity
  • Assists in check-in/check-out and related guest service activities
