Job Description
DMOS Urgent Injury is a privately held medical facility dedicated to providing outstanding orthopaedic care to patients in need of urgent injury treatment. As a leading provider in orthopaedic services, DMOS focuses on delivering comprehensive care that supports patients through every step of their recovery journey. The practice values professionalism, reliability, and a patient-centered approach, ensuring that every patient experience is efficient, compassionate, and clear. Operating as a private practice, DMOS emphasizes high standards in communication and patient management, utilizing modern healthcare technologies such as Electronic Health Records (EHR) and Office 365 tools. The team environment is friendly, fun, and focused on collaboration, promoting a positive and supportive workplace culture.
The Front Office Coordinator role at DMOS Urgent Injury is a full-time administrative position that plays a critical role in the patient experience. The coordinator acts as the first point of contact for walk-in patients, assisting them by verifying insurance coverage, collecting demographic information, and accurately entering data into patient records. This position requires attention to detail, strong multitasking capabilities, and customer service skills. The coordinator also serves as a liaison between patients and clinical staff, ensuring seamless communication and timely care. Hours are Monday through Friday from 7am until approximately 3pm, with rotating Saturday mornings, which provides a consistent schedule without weekend coverage.
This role is central to delivering an outstanding patient experience by managing administrative tasks with a calm and professional demeanor. Candidates must be comfortable using EHR systems, navigating insurance authorization websites, and handling Office 365 products daily. The position may require prolonged periods of sitting, which is a consideration for applicants. DMOS values dependability, curiosity, and professionalism, expecting the coordinator to calmly communicate with patients and therapists, handle multiple priorities simultaneously, and display a genuine willingness to assist and listen carefully. Prior experience in patient care coordination or medical office environments is preferred, and the ideal candidate will be proactive in supporting organizational efficiency and patient well-being.
In return, DMOS offers competitive benefits including health, dental, and vision insurance, paid holidays, and a generous paid time off (PTO) accrual program even for part-time employees. The workplace promotes a respectful and inclusive culture, adhering to equal opportunity employment practices and encouraging applications from protected veterans and individuals with disabilities. As part of the hiring process, candidates will undergo background checks, education verification, reference checks, and an initial tuberculosis (TB) test. DMOS values candidate privacy and ensures that sensitive information is only requested after a job offer has been extended.
Joining DMOS means becoming part of a team that directly impacts patients’ health and recovery, ensuring they receive reliable and attentive care throughout their orthopaedic journey. The role of Front Office Coordinator is pivotal in facilitating this mission by balancing administrative responsibilities with exceptional patient service and strong organizational support.
