The role being offered is for a Breakfast Attendant/Server at Hyatt Place, a property within the Pacific Hospitality Group’s portfolio. This position involves preparing and managing the breakfast spread, serving food, and crafting beverages with exceptional customer service for guests during breakfast hours, special events, and catered functions. The Breakfast Attendant/Server plays a critical role in maintaining brand standards set by Hyatt Place, ensuring the guest experience is seamless and enjoyable. Responsibilities include setting up and replenishing breakfast items, breaking down the setup, cleaning, and preparing for subsequent shifts. Additionally, this role requires entering orders accurately using the POS system, accommodating guests’ dietary restrictions and preferences, and maintaining work areas meeting health and safety codes. The attendant must be vigilant in following safe food handling practices and health regulations, ensuring the environment remains sanitary and welcoming.

Candidates for this role should ideally have experience in a hotel or resort environment and hold or be willing to obtain a Food Handlers Card within 30 days of employment. Being Responsible Beverage Certified (TIPS) is also necessary. The ability to multi-task effectively, communicate clearly, and work collaboratively within a team is essential. Physical requirements include the ability to lift objects up to 50 pounds and perform various physical activities such as standing, walking, bending, reaching, and climbing stairs. The role demands reliable attendance, basic math skills, and the ability to read and understand safety and operational instructions. Job Requirements

  • Possess a basic knowledge of food and beverage preparation, service standards of comparable operation, guest relations and etiquette
  • Must be at least 17 years of age with reliable transportation
  • Ability to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays as required by operational needs

Job Qualifications

  • Experience within a hotel or resort environment
  • Valid current Food Handlers Card or willingness to obtain within 30 days of employment
  • Responsible Beverage Certified (TIPS)
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a team environment

  • Reliable attendance history
  • Ability to serve needs of guest through verbal face-to-face interactions
  • Ability to perform basic math skills such as addition, subtraction, multiplication and division
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals

Job Duties

  • Follow all standards of safe food handling and health and sanitation guidelines
  • Follow all Hyatt Place brand standards
  • Set up breakfast items and replenish items as needed
  • Break down setup, clean, and prepare items for next AM shift or lunch shift
  • Enter orders to POS system and record guests' choices, special dietary needs and special requests
  • Keep kitchen staff informed by noting timing of meal progression
  • Maintain the cleanliness of the work areas and up to department of health code
  • Keep area stocked and maintained
  • Follow food safety best practices as guided
