Job Requirements
- Possess a basic knowledge of food and beverage preparation, service standards of comparable operation, guest relations and etiquette
- Must be at least 17 years of age with reliable transportation
- Ability to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays as required by operational needs
Job Qualifications
- Experience within a hotel or resort environment
- Valid current Food Handlers Card or willingness to obtain within 30 days of employment
- Responsible Beverage Certified (TIPS)
- Ability to multi-task and work in a team environment
- Exceptional communication skills
- Reliable attendance history
- Ability to serve needs of guest through verbal face-to-face interactions
- Ability to perform basic math skills such as addition, subtraction, multiplication and division
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
Job Duties
- Follow all standards of safe food handling and health and sanitation guidelines
- Follow all Hyatt Place brand standards
- Set up breakfast items and replenish items as needed
- Break down setup, clean, and prepare items for next AM shift or lunch shift
- Enter orders to POS system and record guests' choices, special dietary needs and special requests
- Keep kitchen staff informed by noting timing of meal progression
- Maintain the cleanliness of the work areas and up to department of health code
- Keep area stocked and maintained
- Follow food safety best practices as guided
