The organization prides itself on its commitment to quality care and patient-centered service, embracing a diverse and inclusive workforce that reflects the communities it serves.
TCC Family Health is currently seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Front Office Clerk to join their team in a full-time position. This role is crucial in ensuring the smooth and efficient admission and registration of patients before they receive medical care from providers. The Front Office Clerk is responsible for accurately capturing patient demographic and insurance information, verifying insurance eligibility, and enrolling uninsured patients in various assistance programs. Utilizing the practice management system EPIC, as well as other internet-based tools, the clerk facilitates seamless patient check-in procedures while adhering strictly to confidentiality policies. The position demands professionalism, excellent customer service skills, and a proactive approach to work.
The Front Office Clerk serves as the initial point of contact for patients, providing a welcoming and respectful environment that fosters trust and ease. The role includes essential duties like managing payment collections, maintaining accurate records, assisting patients with program enrollments such as the California Health Department Program and Family Pact, and collaborating with clinical staff to ensure efficient workflow. The clerk also supports administrative functions such as answering phones, scheduling appointments, handling protected health information requests, and training new staff members.
