The Front Office Associate position at RAYUS Radiology is integral to providing an exceptional patient experience from the moment a patient or referring professional interacts with the facility. This role involves managing front desk operations including answering phones, scheduling appointments, greeting patients, and registering them with warmth and professionalism. The position is temporary/PRN, with varied shift schedules to accommodate operational needs. Pay ranges from $18.00 to $23.00 per hour depending on the candidate's direct and relevant experience. The Front Office Associate serves as a crucial liaison between patients, referring physicians, and the internal imaging team, ensuring smooth communication and efficient administrative processes. Duties are varied and emphasize organization, multi-tasking, and interpersonal skills, all while maintaining a friendly and sincere demeanor. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • prior experience in administrative or customer service roles
  • ability to work various shifts including temporary and PRN assignments
  • strong verbal and written communication skills
  • proficiency with scheduling and phone systems
  • knowledge of insurance procedures and pre-authorization requirements
  • ability to maintain professionalism and a friendly demeanor
  • capability to handle multiple tasks efficiently

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • prior experience in a front office or administrative role preferred
  • strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • familiarity with insurance verification and pre-certification processes
  • ability to multitask and manage a variety of duties simultaneously
  • proficiency with phone systems and computer software

Job Duties

  • Greet and check-in patients scheduled for imaging services
  • process payments and copays as needed
  • answer phones and handle calls in an efficient and friendly manner
  • act as liaison between imaging technologists and waiting patients
  • maintain organization of the front office lobby area and assist with general office cleanup
  • maintain supply of patient information sheets
  • complete patient appointment confirmation calls and provide preparation instructions
  • fax/scan reports, billing information, and medical release forms as requested
  • enter and submit patient exam orders
  • verify patient exam orders match exam schedules
  • schedule referrals and ensure proper authorizations
  • schedule walk-in patients
  • process requests for image orders and CDs from referring physicians and patients
  • verify patient's insurance coverage
  • pre-certify patient exams with insurance companies
  • obtain insurance authorizations
  • apply knowledge of insurance carriers and procedures to obtain pre-authorization prior to appointments
  • facilitate Release of Information requests following company guidelines
  • complete other tasks and projects as assigned
