Job Description
Our Oxnard-based ophthalmology clinic is dedicated to delivering exceptional eye care to our community. As a well-established healthcare facility, we prioritize patient comfort, precision, and professionalism in every aspect of our service. The clinic is part of a broader network that values patient-first policies and a collaborative working environment. We specialize in providing comprehensive ophthalmologic services using the latest technology and techniques to improve and preserve vision health for patients of all ages. Our team is composed of passionate, well-trained professionals who support each other in maintaining a caring and efficient clinic environment. The clinic is located in Oxnard, California, and requires an in-person presence to maintain the quality of patient interactions and operational excellence.
The role of Front Desk Coordinator is pivotal in shaping the patient experience from the moment a patient enters the clinic until they leave. This full-time position offers competitive pay ranging from $18.00 to $23.00 per hour. The Front Desk Coordinator in our ophthalmology department is not just a receptionist but a vital part of the clinical team, ensuring smooth operations and a welcoming atmosphere. This role requires excellent communication skills, organizational talents, and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced medical office setting.
Key responsibilities include greeting patients warmly, verifying their demographic and insurance details accurately, collecting copays, scheduling appointments, and maintaining strict adherence to HIPAA guidelines. The coordinator also handles high-volume phone communications, supports patient retention efforts, and keeps the front desk area professional and efficient. The position demands bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English to serve our diverse patient base effectively. Furthermore, strong attention to detail and technological proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems are essential.
This position offers significant opportunities for professional growth within the healthcare sector and the chance to make a positive impact on patients' experiences and care outcomes. Candidates with prior medical office experience, especially in ophthalmology, will find this role particularly rewarding. We provide a supportive work environment where teamwork and flexibility are valued, and we encourage applicants who exhibit accountability and a warm, composed demeanor. Our comprehensive benefits package includes 401(k) with matching contributions, dental and vision insurance, life insurance, and paid time off, making this an attractive opportunity for professionals who seek stability and career development in healthcare administration.
