Employees benefit from a collaborative and motivating environment designed to advance their careers while promoting their well-being both in and out of the workplace. The Costa Mesa location offers a full-time, non-management role with a competitive hourly wage of $29.65; this position requires availability for day shifts, evening shifts, weekends, and holidays, reflecting the dynamic nature of the hospitality industry.
The role within the Rooms & Guest Services Operations category is integral to guest satisfaction and the smooth operation of the hotel lobby and front desk. As a Front Desk Associate at Westin Costa Mesa, you will be the first point of contact for guests, setting the tone for their stay with a warm welcome, efficient check-in and check-out processes, and readiness to assist with any inquiries or concerns. You will be responsible for managing guest registrations, verifying billing information, processing payments, and ensuring all documentation is accurate and up-to-date.
Beyond administrative tasks, this role demands excellent communication skills and a genuine desire to create a memorable experience for every guest. You will provide guests with relevant information about the hotel amenities, local attractions, and directions, acting as a friendly and knowledgeable resource. Handling daily reports and shift handovers is also a key part of the role, ensuring continuity of service and accurate financial accounting, including cash handling at the end of each shift.
This position also requires responsiveness to emergencies, lost items, or security concerns, necessitating coordination with appropriate personnel and authorities when needed. Maintaining emergency contingency lists and facilitating the communication of important messages underscores the responsibility and attention to detail essential for this role. The position involves periods of standing, sitting, or walking for extended durations and some physical activity involving light lifting.

The hotel encourages team spirit, leadership that motivates, and opportunities to give back to the community. Employee benefits extend beyond salary, offering discounts on hotel rooms, retail and dining options, and recognition programs that reward outstanding service and dedication. This role suits individuals who are personable, team-oriented, attentive to detail, and passionate about hospitality excellence.
In summary, joining Marriott International as a Front Desk Associate at Westin Costa Mesa means becoming part of a prestigious global family that values your individuality and contribution. You will play a pivotal role in shaping guests' experiences, uphold rigorous quality standards, and enjoy a rewarding career with continuous support and growth opportunities in one of the world’s most respected hotel brands.
