Job Description

Freehand is a dynamic and innovative accommodation brand known for its unique approach to hospitality that blends cultural vibrancy, community engagement, and stylish, welcoming spaces. Founded with roots in London, Freehand has expanded through several key European capitals and now operates in major markets including the United States, boasting a presence in 15 locations across Europe and the US. Recognized by Fast Company as one of the top 50 most innovative global companies, Freehand prides itself on providing safe, socially vibrant, and culturally rich environments where guests can enjoy a memorable and authentic experience. The brand places a strong emphasis on reflecting the distinct heartbeat of each city it inhabits, ensuring that each property offers more than just accommodation—it offers a unique local experience and a sense of community.

We are currently seeking a Front Office Agent (also known as Front Desk Agent) to join the team at Freehand Los Angeles. This role is pivotal as it represents the first and lasting impression of our hotel to guests. The Front Office Agent will be the primary point of contact for guests throughout their stay, responsible for managing every aspect of the guest experience from warm welcomes and efficient check-ins/check-outs to handling reservations and payments. The individual in this position will be instrumental in delivering exceptional customer service, embodying the Freehand brand values of being authentic, approachable, and community-focused. The Front Office Agent must be adept at multitasking in a fast-paced environment, using property management systems effectively, and acting as the liaison between guests and hotel departments such as housekeeping and maintenance. They will be responsible for resolving guest concerns promptly and ensuring all administrative tasks related to security, billing, and room allocation are meticulously handled.

As a member of the Freehand team, the Front Office Agent will enjoy a workplace culture that encourages authenticity and valuing individuality, where being yourself is key to bringing the brand to life. The role requires flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and rotating shifts, reflecting the nature of our operational hours. The position also demands physical stamina, including standing for extended periods and occasionally lifting items up to 30 pounds. Freehand supports its employees with generous benefits including a birthday holiday, referral bonuses, gym membership contributions, life assurance, income protection, free accommodation nights, reduced room rates for staff and their families, as well as an active social events calendar. We invest in our people through recognition programs, online learning tools, and ideas awards, fostering growth and engagement within our workforce.

If you are passionate about hospitality, have strong interpersonal skills, and seek to be part of a globally recognized innovative company with a vibrant culture, this Front Office Agent role at Freehand Los Angeles is an excellent opportunity. Join us to deliver outstanding guest experiences and contribute to a brand that is revolutionizing hospitality with style and heart.
