Job Description

The hiring company is a fast casual restaurant dedicated to delivering exceptional dining experiences by fostering a strong team culture and putting guests first. This restaurant values integrity, commitment, and respect as foundational principles that shape its work environment and service approach. Guided by a clear mission, vision, and set of core values, the establishment strives to create a welcoming, clean, and comfortable atmosphere for both guests and employees. This empowers every team member to act as a vital partner in sustaining high service standards and an upbeat, guest-focused environment.

This restaurant is seeking enthusiastic Front-of-the-House (FOH) Team Members, who will play a key role in working closely with the entire restaurant team to ensure guests receive memorable and exceeding service. The FOH team members lead through humble service, encouraging loyalty and teamwork among colleagues and customers alike. This role is a non-exempt, hourly position with a starting wage at minimum wage plus tips, making it an ideal opportunity for candidates looking to enter or grow within the fast casual dining industry.

As a FOH Team Member, you will be the face of the restaurant – engaging personally with guests, ensuring the restaurant meets health and cleanliness standards, and supporting your team to create smooth and efficient service. Your responsibilities extend beyond typical customer service, as you will actively participate in order-taking, POS system operation, guest recovery efforts, and the general upkeep of the restaurant's inviting atmosphere. The position demands individuals who are organized, detail-oriented, and capable of thriving under fast-paced, dynamic conditions. You must have strong communication skills, especially proficiency in English, as the role requires clear interaction with guests and team members.

Furthermore, this job emphasizes the importance of compliance with health codes including California Food Handler and Responsible Beverage Service certifications. Team members must be physically capable to perform tasks such as standing for extended periods, lifting up to 35 pounds, and engaging in repetitive motions required in a busy restaurant setting. The company upholds a professional appearance policy with requirements such as wearing clean, non-slip shoes, black pants, and company-supplied uniforms, ensuring a neat and consistent presentation.

Aligned with company culture, FOH Team Members are expected to embody values like respect, loyalty, mutual support, and accountability. The company fosters a collaborative environment where employees are encouraged to share suggestions for improvement and actively contribute to the ongoing development of the team. This role is perfect for individuals who are passionate, fun, positive, and eager to deliver excellent service while growing their skills in a supportive, team-driven atmosphere.
