The Front of House Team Member role at Best Pizza & Brew is a pivotal position responsible for enhancing the guest experience by providing outstanding service in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Employees work under the direction of the General Manager and Shift Leads to execute responsibilities that ensure smooth restaurant operations and guest satisfaction. The role includes various assignments such as Busser, Food Runner, Cashier, Expediter, Bartender, Server, Delivery Driver, and Shift Lead, all contributing uniquely to the overall service flow.
Successful Front of House Team Members exhibit a proactive approach to their duties, display strong teamwork skills, and maintain a service-oriented mindset. They are engaged in tasks ranging from cleaning and resetting tables, pre-bussing, assisting with food and drink delivery, managing order accuracy, to maintaining sanitary and organized dining areas. Effective communication and a willingness to support colleagues are essential traits for excelling in this role. Additionally, the position requires adherence to safety and hygiene standards, including proper handwashing and cleaning protocols, contributing to a safe dining environment.

Job Requirements
- Be willing and able to help the team to support the delivery of a top-notch guest experience
- possess a service-oriented mindset: outstanding customer service skills, effective interpersonal skills, and have a desire to help others
- previous experience working in the hospitality and service industry is a plus
- clear and effective communication skills, both written and verbal
- ability to stay organized, prioritize work, and ensure timely task completion in a busy, fast paced, and often changing environment
- possess and maintain all appropriate certifications: Food Handlers Card and RBS Certification
- delivery drivers: possess and maintain an active driver license
- weekend, evening, and holiday availability is a must

Job Duties
- Clean and reset tables in the dining area
- pre-bus guests tables proactively and efficiently
- monitor bus stations and take dirty dishes to the dishwashing area
- sweep dining area and maintain cleanliness of trash cans
- promptly clean spills and accidents following proper procedures
- pick up guest orders from the food window and verify with Expo
- pull numbers from tables when orders are complete
- check with bar for drinks to be delivered to guests
- communicate guest needs and additional orders with Expo, Shift Lead, and Server
- help with pre-bussing and bring out guest needs such as napkins and condiments
- assist team with restocking expo and drink stations, cashier support, and refilling drinks
- acknowledge all guests entering and exiting with genuine greetings and thank you
- take accurate food and drink orders and explain service style to new guests
- share specials and offer suggestions
- take accurate pick-up and delivery orders and confirm contact information
- ensure orders are entered correctly into POS and payments processed
- assist with keeping restaurant operations smooth by restocking and wiping surfaces when not busy
