Job Description

Bassett Street Brunch Club is a vibrant and fast-paced restaurant renowned for providing a unique brunch experience that goes beyond just serving food. Rooted deeply in the spirit of genuine hospitality, this establishment has built a loyal customer base by consistently delivering high-quality food, warm and attentive service, and an inviting atmosphere that encourages guests to return time and again. As a bustling hub of community and culinary delight, Bassett Street Brunch Club values the energy, dedication, and commitment of its team to maintain its status as a favorite dining destination. The restaurant emphasizes cultivating an environment where guests feel genuinely welcomed, valued, and well cared for. With a focus on genuine hospitality and outstanding guest experiences, Bassett Street Brunch Club continually strives to create memorable moments for every visitor while maintaining operational excellence behind the scenes.

The role of Restaurant Manager at Bassett Street Brunch Club is crucial in upholding the restaurant’s high standards and smooth daily operations. This is a full-time leadership position requiring approximately 40 hours per week, encompassing a blend of daytime and nighttime shifts with the necessity of weekend availability. The Restaurant Manager will take charge of overseeing front-of-house operations, focusing on delivering exceptional customer service, managing staff, and ensuring the restaurant functions profitably. This hands-on leadership role demands an individual who thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and demonstrates a positive, upbeat attitude that'll inspire the team. Responsibilities include leading the floor during service, supporting and directing staff, handling guest interactions including feedback and complaint resolution, managing shift flow such as seating and pacing, and ensuring the restaurant environment remains clean, organized, and visually appealing.

In addition to frontline duties, the Restaurant Manager also shoulders operational and administrative responsibilities, such as assisting with employee onboarding and training, conducting pre-shift meetings, controlling labor costs, approving discounts and voids with proper documentation, overseeing opening and closing procedures, monitoring inventory, and managing cash handling tasks. Upholding hospitality standards is paramount — this role demands maintaining food and beverage quality, enforcing responsible alcohol service, conducting ID checks, and maintaining alignment between front-of-house and back-of-house teams. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong communication and problem-solving skills, a calm demeanor under pressure, an ability to lead by example, and a passion for hospitality that prioritizes each guest’s experience. This role offers a meaningful opportunity to impact both guest satisfaction and team culture within a supportive environment that values hard work, positivity, and integrity. The benefit package includes medical, dental, vision, and disability insurance with employer contributions, a 401(k) retirement plan with employer match, paid time off, wellness benefits, and additional perks designed to support employee wellbeing and professional growth.
