Job Description

Our hospitality establishment operates a vibrant and fast-paced restaurant environment dedicated to delivering exceptional guest experiences through superior service and quality food and beverages. Known for its dynamic atmosphere and commitment to excellence, the venue includes a bar and coffeehouse, making it a popular destination for a diverse clientele. The organization values teamwork, professional growth, and operational efficiency, fostering a workplace where integrity and dedication are paramount. We are currently seeking a full-time Front of House Manager to join our team and lead our Front of House operations with passion, professionalism, and expertise. This role demands a minimum commitment of 45 hours per week and offers a full-time employment experience with the potential for growth and advancement within the company.

The Front of House Manager is pivotal in ensuring the smooth and successful operation of the restaurant's customer-facing departments, including the bar and coffeehouse. This position entails comprehensive leadership responsibilities such as hiring, training, and maintaining the productivity of the Front of House team. Essential to this role is the ability to inspire and motivate staff, drive sales growth, and cultivate strong relationships with both employees and guests. The ideal candidate will possess outstanding communication skills—both written and verbal—demonstrate excellent time management, and be adept at multitasking in a rapidly changing work environment.

This leadership role requires handling sensitive and confidential information with discretion, making sound judgments independently, and showing a willingness to learn and adapt. The Front of House Manager leads by example, setting the right tone for energy and teamwork within the team while maintaining high morale. A significant portion of the role involves collaborating closely with Front and Back of House supervisors to ensure seamless operations, consistent food quality, diligent compliance with safety and certification standards, and exceptional guest relations. Monitoring staff and guest interactions, managing labor budgets, building efficient schedules, and resolving customer complaints decisively are daily functions of this position.

Moreover, the manager is responsible for overseeing staff training programs and maintaining all operational procedures and policies across Front of House departments. This includes ensuring that certifications are up to date and that all employees understand their roles comprehensively. The manager must be equally comfortable performing opening and closing duties and being present on the floor to uphold the restaurant's service standards.

The role also includes direct guest engagement—guaranteeing every visitor is greeted warmly, complaint situations are handled promptly, and each experience is delightful. The ability to step in and perform any Front of House position when necessary is critical, along with expert knowledge of the menu, ingredients, allergens, and POS technology.

Physical requirements involve prolonged standing, occasional stooping, and lifting objects weighing up to 50 pounds, underscoring the active nature of this job. The position reports directly to the General Manager and is classified as exempt under employment guidelines. Our establishment embraces equal opportunity employment policies and welcomes applicants from diverse backgrounds without discrimination. This role offers the chance to thrive in a fast-paced, supportive environment while leading a pivotal team in hospitality services, making it an excellent opportunity for career-oriented professionals passionate about customer service and team leadership.
