Job Description
The Whitaker Group is a prominent hospitality company known for its dedication to delivering exceptional dining experiences. Based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, our full-service restaurant offers guests a refined and welcoming atmosphere where culinary excellence meets outstanding service. We pride ourselves on creating memorable moments for our patrons through impeccable service, innovative menus, and a passionate team committed to hospitality. Our portfolio reflects a commitment to quality, and we continually strive to maintain the highest standards in all facets of our operations, from food preparation to front-of-house service. The Whitaker Group is committed to fostering a culture of professionalism, inclusivity, and growth, which allows our team members to excel personally and professionally within a dynamic and rewarding work environment.
We are currently seeking a highly skilled Front of House (FOH) Manager to oversee the daily operations of our bustling restaurant. This role is perfect for a hands-on hospitality leader who thrives in an elevated, guest-first environment and is adept at managing both team dynamics and operational costs. The FOH Manager will play a vital role in balancing the demands of financial management with the development of a high-performing front-of-house team. Responsibilities include overseeing all areas of the dining room, bar, and event spaces, ensuring seamless collaboration with the back-of-house (BOH) team to deliver a consistent and exceptional guest experience.
This leadership position requires a proactive approach to managing P&L reporting, labor management, and cost controls, alongside overseeing inventory processes and coordinating with vendors to maintain operational efficiency. The successful candidate will be responsible for hiring, training, scheduling, and mentoring FOH team members, fostering an environment that prioritizes guest satisfaction and team engagement. Addressing and resolving escalated guest issues with professionalism and tact is a critical component of this role.
Additionally, the FOH Manager will coordinate and execute private events, tastings, and special programming, ensuring each event upholds the brand's high standards and delivers exceptional experiences. Compliance with food safety regulations and health standards is paramount, requiring the manager to maintain vigilance and ensure team adherence. This position offers a competitive salary commensurate with experience, a comprehensive benefits package, eligibility for quarterly bonuses, and opportunities for career advancement within The Whitaker Group's expanding food and beverage portfolio. If you are passionate about hospitality and ready to lead a dedicated FOH team to new heights, we invite you to join our dynamic team.
