The Assistant General Manager plays a critical role in coaching, developing staff, overseeing daily operations, and fostering a culture centered around team engagement and top-tier customer service. As an Assistant General Manager at Topgolf, you will supervise a dedicated team responsible for delivering outstanding service daily. This involves coaching staff to enhance their skills and maintain high engagement levels, managing operational procedures, and ensuring the safety and satisfaction of guests. You will oversee staffing and operational efficiency in all guest areas, delegate tasks effectively, and assist in maximizing profit and revenue. Additionally, this role requires a proactive approach to business metrics, operational excellence, and upholding the brand's reputation through leadership example. The position demands flexibility, energy, and the ability to work in various conditions, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, highlighting the commitment to guest experience and team success.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 5+ years of restaurant, hotel or golf course management experience
  • At least 1 year experience as an assistant general manager or general manager
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • High level of energy and enthusiasm
  • Demonstrated self-awareness and integrity
  • Ability to work in extreme weather conditions for extended periods
  • Availability to work varied shifts including evenings, weekends and holidays
  • Physical ability to stand and walk for long periods and maneuver stairs
  • Capability to obtain location-specific licenses and certifications

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 5+ years of restaurant, hotel or golf course management experience with at least 1 recent year as an assistant general manager or general manager in a restaurant, hotel or golf environment
  • Excellent communication, time management and organization skills
  • Ability to work on a team
  • Energy and enthusiasm
  • A high level of self-awareness, receptivity to change and integrity
  • Ability to work in extreme weather conditions for extended periods
  • Availability to work varied shifts including evenings, weekends and holidays
  • Ability to stand and walk for long periods including maneuvering up and down stairs
  • Ability to obtain required licenses and certifications for your location

Job Duties
