With a focus on creating a lively yet family-friendly dining atmosphere, the restaurant chain has built a loyal customer base by emphasizing quality food, exceptional guest service, and a vibrant culture that celebrates Mexican culinary traditions.
The Front of House (FOH) Manager at Jalapeo Tree plays a critical leadership role in daily restaurant operations. This position is designed for an experienced hospitality professional who is passionate about overseeing the guest experience from the moment patrons arrive until they leave. The FOH Manager is responsible for maintaining high service standards, managing bar performance, ensuring cleanliness, and motivating the FOH team to exceed guest expectations.
Key responsibilities include scheduling and training staff, engaging directly with guests to address any concerns or enhance their visit, controlling bar and beverage costs, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. This managerial role also involves coaching team members to improve their skills and service delivery and leading shifts to optimize operational flow and drive sales performance.
Every FOH Manager undergoes an initial comprehensive training in Tyler, Texas, before transitioning to their assigned restaurant location, ensuring consistency and adherence to the brands standards across all outlets. Candidates must possess a strong ability to multitask in a busy environment, demonstrate excellent organizational and communication skills, and exhibit a commitment to fostering an inclusive and welcoming workspace.
The position requires the individual to work approximately 50 to 55 hours per week, including weekends and holidays, reflecting the demand and commitment needed to maintain Jalapeo Tree's reputation for outstanding hospitality. FOH Managers also handle delegated responsibilities from the General Manager such as hiring and disciplinary decisions, payroll management, and implementing new menu items and promotions.
Jalapeo Tree offers a competitive salary and bonus structure alongside benefits such as health, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) employee retirement plan, paid vacation starting after six months, and ample opportunities for career advancement within the organization. This role is ideal for a dedicated hospitality professional looking to make a meaningful impact and grow within a dynamic, family-friendly restaurant environment.
