Job Description

Boston's Restaurant and Sports Bar is a vibrant franchise known for its welcoming atmosphere that blends family-friendly dining with an energetic sports bar experience. Specializing in handcrafted pizzas, scratch-made gourmet meals, craft cocktails, and local beers, Boston's is a go-to destination for guests looking to enjoy quality food and drink in a lively environment. Positioned as America's Sports Restaurant, Boston's uniquely serves as a hub for the community, bringing people together around major sports events. Beyond game day gatherings, the restaurant hosts celebrations like birthdays, family reunions, coworker happy hours, fundraisers, and various other social events, making it a versatile and popular venue. Each Boston's restaurant is independently operated by franchisees, who manage their own wage and benefits programs, allowing for a personalized approach to employee management and guest service.

The role of Front of House Manager at Boston's Restaurant and Sports Bar is a critical leadership position responsible for overseeing the front-of-house operations. Reporting directly to the General Manager, the Front of House Manager plays a key role in hiring, training, and developing the team members who interact with guests, including servers, hosts, bartenders, and hourly supervisors. This role requires a dedicated focus on delivering superior guest service while ensuring operational excellence. The manager is responsible for meeting budgeted financial goals, which encompass front-of-house labor costs, guest satisfaction metrics, staffing levels, and staff turnover rates. Maintaining a clean, sanitary, and inviting atmosphere for guests is essential, as is fostering a positive and fun restaurant culture that encourages teamwork and high performance.

The Front of House Manager must lead by example to create a guest-focused environment that elevates sales through exceptional service and prompt resolution of any issues that arise. Scheduling the front-of-house team in alignment with budget and service objectives is a key duty, ensuring that the restaurant is adequately staffed during peak hours and special events. A commitment to safety and security protocols is paramount, encompassing both employee and guest well-being according to established standards. Adherence to alcohol service guidelines mandated by licensing authorities, including Serve Safe Alcohol training and Boston's specific protocols, is strictly enforced to maintain responsible service practices.

This position demands strong leadership and communication skills, a solid understanding of business operations, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays is required, as well as a capacity to efficiently handle high-volume periods without compromising service quality. By fostering a supportive and efficient team environment, the Front of House Manager directly contributes to the overall success and reputation of the Boston's Restaurant and Sports Bar location they oversee. This is a fantastic opportunity for experienced restaurant management professionals passionate about building teams, driving sales, and providing memorable guest experiences within a community-focused setting.
