The Food Service Supervisor position at Aramark offers a full-time employment opportunity with an hourly wage ranging between $27.00 and $28.00. This role is essential within the Food Services Team, where the supervisor works alongside a manager to coordinate and lead daily operations while overseeing staff and collaborating with teammates. The supervisor plays a key role in ensuring the safety and quality of food production, maintaining sanitation and health standards, organizing schedules, managing inventory, and training employees. This position requires strong leadership skills, the ability to multitask under pressure, and a dedication to maintaining a safe and efficient work environment. Supervisors are also responsible for supporting and mentoring food service staff, promoting teamwork and morale, and filling in for absent employees when necessary.

Additionally, the Food Service Supervisor ensures that all food items are stored safely and served according to menu specifications, following Aramark’s stringent policies and procedures. They are expected to maintain accurate production and inventory records, handle communication effectively within the team, and contribute to catering event preparation and delivery. This role requires participation in food service meetings, maintaining equipment maintenance logs, performing preventative maintenance checks, and recommending equipment updates to meet facility needs. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • previous experience in food service or supervisory role preferred
  • must complete a sanitation course either before or during first year

Job Duties

  • Produce and maintain work schedules and may prepare production packets (production sheets and recipes)
  • direct daily activities
  • maintain food production that ensures the safety and quality of food according to policies, procedures, and department requirements
  • ensure that food items are stored in a safe, organized, and hazard-free environment
  • maintain all serving schedules
  • ensure that all food items are served per menu specifications in a safe and appropriate manner following Aramark policies and procedures
  • maintain a sanitary department following health and safety codes and regulations
  • maintain accurate inventory on a weekly basis
  • may prepare orders as needed to ensure accurate production for location
  • supervise and evaluate employees
  • counsel
  • promote employee growth, efficiency, morale, and teamwork
  • maintain a safe and hazard-free working environment
  • train/mentor other food service workers
  • maintain logs on all maintenance required on equipment within the department
  • ensure all food safety/temperature logs are completed with appropriate corrective action, as necessary

  • maintain knowledge of daily catering events and confirm they are prepared and delivered on time
  • be able to work occasional night and weekend catered events
  • attend food service meetings with staff
  • maintain communication with staff (including office staff, e-mail, phone calls, inter-office mail, etc)
  • may perform cashier duties as the need arises
  • promote good public relations
