The company operates with a strong mission encapsulated in its motto, "Do good by eating well," focusing not only on quality food but also on community impact by reinvesting 1% back into local communities. Birdcall differentiates itself through its core values: Privileged to Grow, Purposeful Technology, From Coop to Community, and Making Every Moment Matter. These values reflect the company’s dedication to sustainable growth, innovative approaches, community engagement, and creating memorable customer experiences. As a part of the Gastamo Group family, Birdcall benefits from shared resources and cross-promotional opportunities within sister restaurant locations, enhancing its employment appeal and customer base.
The Front of House (FOH) role at Birdcall is integral to maintaining the brand’s reputation for outstanding service and hospitality. FOH team members serve as the company’s ambassadors, responsible for welcoming guests with warmth and enthusiasm, addressing their needs attentively, and ensuring their dining experience aligns with Birdcall’s high standards. This role is ideal for individuals who thrive in a fast-paced, purpose-driven environment and are passionate about making a tangible difference in customers’ dining experiences. Those who join the FOH team not only engage with guests in a meaningful way but also contribute to the company’s mission of community involvement and quality service.
In this position, candidates will be involved in hosting duties that include greeting and seating guests, managing reservations, and providing information about menu offerings. The FOH team is charged with creating an inviting atmosphere that encourages repeat patronage and fosters a sense of community among customers. Beyond direct guest interaction, FOH members will collaborate with kitchen and management staff to ensure smooth operations and uphold health and safety standards.
Birdcall offers a vibrant work environment where employees receive free meals during shifts and dining discounts at all company-operated concepts and sister restaurants within the Gastamo Group. Comprehensive health benefits including medical, dental, and vision insurance are provided after an introductory period, along with mental health resources to support employee well-being. The company also incentivizes team growth and development through employee referral bonuses, opportunities for advancement, and career development across various departments. Employees accumulate paid sick leave at a rate promoting a healthy work-life balance, underscoring Birdcall’s commitment to its staff’s overall quality of life.
Ideal candidates for this role will have experience in hosting or customer service, an upbeat and hospitable personality, and a willingness to learn and grow within the company. The role demands flexibility with open availability from Monday through Sunday, the ability to work throughout the day, and reliable transportation. Successful FOH employees at Birdcall are long-term growth minded, motivated by a purpose-driven culture, and passionate about delivering exceptional guest experiences. Joining Birdcall means becoming part of a team that values joy, community impact, and personal and professional growth every step of the way.
