We are currently seeking a proactive and experienced Front of House (FOH) and Bar Manager to take a leadership role within our bustling restaurant environment. This is a hands-on working management position designed for someone who thrives in a high-volume setting and leads by example. The ideal candidate understands that exceptional hospitality directly contributes to increased sales and guest satisfaction. As FOH / Bar Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all front-of-house and bar operations, ensuring that sales targets are met through engaging customer interaction and superior service quality. In this role, you will be entrusted with directing staff, optimizing scheduling, managing inventory, and maintaining an organized, welcoming atmosphere. You will manage day-to-day operations including bar flow during peak hours, coaching team members on suggestive selling techniques, and upholding service standards that exceed guest expectations.

This position requires a dedicated leadership presence on the floor, excellent communication skills, and a keen eye for detail to streamline operations and elevate the guest experience. The work schedule is demanding, with 50-60 hours per week and shifts mainly from Friday through Tuesday, including nights, weekends, and holidays. Candidates must be comfortable with this commitment and the dynamic pace of restaurant management. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 2+ years of relevant FOH or bar management experience
  • Ability to work 50-60 hours per week including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Experience with staff scheduling software and bar inventory control
  • Physical ability to perform in a fast-paced restaurant environment
  • Must be professional, reliable, and able to maintain composure under pressure

Job Qualifications

  • 2+ years of FOH and/or Bar Management experience (restaurant or bar)
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • Proven ability to drive sales through hospitality and service
  • Experience with staff scheduling and bar inventory management
  • Comfortable working long hours in a fast-paced environment
  • POS experience (Toast preferred but not required)
  • Reliable, professional, and solution-oriented

Job Duties

  • Lead by example in providing warm, friendly, high-energy hospitality
  • Actively build relationships with guests and create regulars
  • Coach staff on upselling, suggestive selling, and beverage knowledge
  • Ensure consistent service standards and guest satisfaction
  • Oversee daily front-of-house and bar operations during service
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient bar and dining room
  • Manage bar flow, pacing, and guest engagement during peak hours
  • Create accurate, cost-effective staff schedules
  • Ensure proper coverage for volume, events, and seasonality
  • Train, coach, and hold FOH and bar staff accountable to standards
  • Address performance issues professionally and promptly
  • Manage bar inventory, ordering, and organization
  • Monitor liquor, beer, wine, and non-alcoholic beverage usage
  • Control waste, over-pouring, and inventory variances
  • Work within cost targets set by ownership
  • Communicate effectively with ownership and kitchen leadership
  • Assist with implementing systems, SOPs, and service improvements
  • Ensure policies and procedures are followed consistently
