Job Requirements
- Minimum 18 years of age (19 years in Idaho and Alaska if selling tobacco)
- Ability to pass drug test
- Ability to work weekends regularly
- Ability to work any shift and overtime as needed
- Ability to organize and prioritize tasks and projects
- Accuracy and attention to detail
- Must be able to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Six months cashier experience
- Knowledge of company policies, procedures, and organizational structure
- Related retail experience
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong customer service skills
- Ability to organize and prioritize tasks
- Accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to manage conflict reasonably and cooperatively
- Ability to follow directions and seek assistance when needed
Job Duties
- Assist customers and process sales
- Demonstrate the company’s core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion and safety
- Perform cashier functions including opening/closing register, ringing sales, completing tender transactions, and bagging merchandise
- Maintain cleanliness of checkstand area to housekeeping standards
- Handle refunds, exchanges, money orders, bill pay, gift cards, and equipment rentals at the customer service desk
- Provide lottery service and sell fish and game licenses
- Answer telephones and complete file maintenance log for price discrepancies
- Verify and deactivate Electronic Article Surveillance Tags and respond to activations
- Maintain store accounting functions and prepare bank deposits
- Comply with all corporate policies and promote company initiatives
- Support and assist customers including minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults
