The role of Front End Associate is essential to the operations of our retail branch locations. This position is a frontline customer service role responsible for ensuring a smooth, friendly checkout experience for customers entering the store. Employees in this role handle cashier duties, assist customers with their purchases, manage membership verification, and serve as the first point of contact for both in-store visitors and phone inquiries. Working in 8-hour shifts between 7:00 AM and 7:00 PM, the Front End Associate efficiently processes sales transactions, handles returns, and supports sales goals by creating an inviting shopping environment. This role contributes directly to the success of other business functions such as sales, order fulfillment, merchandising, and inventory control by maintaining an organized and customer-friendly front end.
In addition to transactional duties, the Front End Associate promotes positive customer interactions through problem-solving, clear communication about policies and memberships, and prompt assistance. Physical demands include standing or walking up to 9 hours a day, with the ability to lift up to 50 pounds. This position requires proficiency with MS Office applications and CRM systems, strong interpersonal skills, and the capacity to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced setting. Job Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in retail and/or supply chain management
- Ability to stand or walk for up to 9 hours a day
- Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull medium weights up to 50 pounds
- Capability to communicate effectively using speech, vision, and hearing
- Regular use of hands for simple grasping and fine manipulations
- Ability to bend, squat, crawl, climb, and reach regularly
- Ability to adapt to fast-paced retail environment
- Willingness to work 8 hour shifts between 7:00 AM and 7:00 PM
Job Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in retail and/or supply chain management
- Proficiency with MS Office suite including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Experience with CRM systems and project management tools
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to explain technical and complex concepts clearly and concisely

Job Duties
- Deliver friendly, efficient front-end customer service and ensure a smooth checkout experience
- Consistently achieve high levels of point-of-sale transactions on a daily basis
- Assist customers with accurate register transactions, including cash handling and membership verification, as well as loading purchases into customer vehicles
- Process customer returns and ensure items are restocked appropriately
- Expedite customer flow through checkout lanes to minimize wait times
- Serve as the first point of contact for incoming phone calls, providing prompt assistance or directing inquiries
- Guide customers within the store and answer questions about policies, memberships, pricing, and general inquiries
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of checkout lanes, registers, carts, and the front area of the location
- Refill and merchandise impulse products at the front end to support sales
- Perform additional tasks and support initiatives as assigned by management to ensure smooth location operations and alignment with overall business goals
