Job Duties
- Answer phones
- take messages and route to appropriate personnel
- unlock front door and receptionist window at required times
- greet patients, verify insurance information and collect any fees due before patient is seen by a provider
- check patient in and out on computer system including verification of insurance and demographic information
- process office visit charges and patient payment transactions in a timely manner according to GMC policy
- complete end-of-day reports and reconcile patient accounts with Site leader
- prepare for next day appointments by reviewing schedule for accuracy and confirming insurance status
- ensure all forms, records are available for office visits
- manage new patient requests by setting up new patient packets and charts
- maintain computer chart accuracy promptly
- maintain cleanliness and organization of front desk and office supply cabinet
