Job Description
The hiring establishment is a residential building management company specializing in providing exceptional living experiences for its residents. With a focus on security, service, and efficient operations, the company strives to create a safe and welcoming environment for all residents and guests. The company values professionalism, attentiveness, and strong communication skills among its staff, ensuring that every interaction at the front desk reflects their commitment to high standards and customer care. Known for maintaining excellent property management and security protocols, the company emphasizes team collaboration, detailed record-keeping, and adherence to emergency response procedures to maintain the safety and comfort of its community.
The role offered is a Part Time Front Desk Associate position, specifically covering the overnight shift from 11 pm to 7 am on Fridays and Saturdays. The position requires an individual who is capable of working independently without direct supervision, demonstrating strong communication, telephone etiquette, and outstanding customer service skills. The candidate must be detail-oriented, able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, and adept at managing front desk operations smoothly during the quieter overnight hours. Responsibilities include greeting and checking in residents, visitors, and service providers, monitoring electronic security systems, maintaining accurate logs, and responding promptly to emergencies and access control situations. The role also demands familiarity with fire alarm systems and water shutoff procedures associated with fire safety, ensuring that safety protocols are upheld at all times.
This role offers a competitive compensation of $19 per hour, reflecting the specialized responsibilities and overnight schedule. In addition to managing standard front desk duties, the associate will be expected to enforce building policies professionally, balance cell phone use limitations while on duty, and exhibit dependability by remaining on duty in case of delayed relief. Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is preferred, enhancing communication with a diverse resident base. Computer literacy is important, including skills in incident report preparation using web browsers or Microsoft Word and basic familiarity with Excel for data searching tasks. The front desk associate is expected to maintain a professional appearance, adhering to an all-black dress code until uniforms are provided.
Physical requirements involve the ability to lift packages weighing 30 to 50 pounds, endure long periods of standing or sitting, and navigate the building efficiently as needed. The candidate must also be capable of clear verbal and written communication and able to respond quickly during emergency situations. This opportunity is ideal for individuals seeking a part-time role that offers stable hours, competitive pay, and the chance to contribute significantly to the safety and satisfaction of a well-managed residential community. The company provides structured support, including the potential use of automated employment decision tools to ensure fair candidate evaluation and accommodations for applicants requiring alternative selection processes or reasonable accommodations in accordance with disability laws.
