The Front Desk Hospitality team at Fitness Connection plays a vital role in shaping the member experience by being the welcoming face of the club. Front Desk teammates are responsible for creating the energetic and fun environment that Fitness Connection is known for, providing outstanding hospitality and service to ensure every member and guest feels important and valued. This role is perfect for individuals passionate about fitness and hospitality who want to grow their careers in an engaging and supportive environment.

As a Front Desk team member, your daily responsibilities will include warmly greeting all guests and members with an EPIC greeting and farewell, efficiently handling check-ins using proper procedures, registering guests, and managing telephone inquiries with professionalism. You will serve as the initial point of contact and communication hub, ensuring that members, guests, and teammates have an exceptional experience. Additionally, you will promote and sell pro shop products including drinks, nutrition bars, supplements, and branded merchandise, meeting daily and monthly sales goals while maintaining a clean and organized retail area.

Beyond hospitality, Front Desk teammates will assist with member account inquiries, track delinquencies, collect payments, and support club operations by completing opening and closing duties as needed. They are also responsible for maintaining a neat and safe front desk and entryway area, supporting teammates in achieving their goals, and adhering to company policies and procedures. To ensure the highest level of service, teammates undergo the EPIC Training Program which includes training on the membership system, product knowledge, personal training benefits, and club operations. Successful completion of this program is mandatory and equips teammates with the skills needed to excel in their roles.

This position demands excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Physical requirements include the ability to perform various physical activities common to gym settings and the capability to lift up to 50 pounds. Job Duties

  • Connect with members and guests with EPIC greetings and farewells
  • Check members into the gym using proper procedures
  • Register guests using appropriate registration processes
  • Answer telephone promptly with proper Fitness Connection verbiage
  • Assist with routing telephone inquiries appropriately
  • Direct guests and appointments to the correct fitness consultants promptly and professionally
  • Serve as a communication hub for members, guests, and teammates
  • Promote and sell drinks, bars, supplements, and merchandise
  • Meet and exceed daily and monthly pro shop sales goals
  • Stock and organize retail products as needed
  • Assist with operational duties as requested by management
  • Maintain and monitor ProShop area throughout shifts
  • Accurately use POS and handle money according to procedures
  • Complete member and guest check-ins and basic account inquiries
  • Monitor check-ins to identify delinquent accounts and collect balances
  • Update member information
  • Notify management of any member assistance escalations
  • Keep front desk and entryway neat, clean, and organized
  • Complete opening and closing duties as required
  • Perform regular club cleaning routines
  • Report incidences promptly
  • Maintain positive relationships with the club team
  • Support teammates in achieving goals
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures
