The Front Desk Supervisor role at THesis Hotel Miami is a pivotal position responsible for guiding and leading the front office team to ensure the highest standards of customer service. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in hotel or resort front desk preferred
  • Ability to work flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Strong communication skills both verbal and written
  • Proficiency with computer systems used in hotel management
  • Ability to manage cash handling accurately
  • Capability to stand and move continuously during shifts
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and solve guest issues professionally

Job Qualifications

  • Must be available to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous hotel or resort experience preferred

Job Duties

  • Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing to provide clear direction to staff
  • Monitor lobby traffic and make staffing adjustments accordingly
  • Greet guests immediately with a friendly and sincere welcome
  • Complete the registration process promptly by inputting and retrieving information
  • Promote the Pyramid Hotel Group marketing program
  • Make appropriate room selections based on guest needs
  • Handle cash, make change, and balance assigned house bank
  • Accept and record vouchers, traveler’s checks, and other forms of payment
  • Convert foreign currency at current posted rates
  • Post charges to guest rooms and house accounts
  • Answer the telephone promptly using positive and clear English language
  • Input and retrieve messages for guests
  • Remain calm and alert during emergencies or heavy hotel activity
  • Resolve customer complaints by researching and applying effective solutions
  • Make decisions and take action based on experience and good judgment
  • Authorize revenue allowances to remedy problems when necessary
  • Maintain attendance in conformance with Pyramid Hotel Group standards
