Job Requirements

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred
  • 1 to 3 years of related experience
  • ability to work varied shifts including holidays and weekends
  • capacity to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as lifting up to 25 pounds
  • good communication and interpersonal skills
  • knowledge of guest service standards and front desk operations

Job Duties

  • Interview, select, train, schedule, coach, and support associates ensuring they perform according to standards
  • resolve guest complaints and concerns through thorough research and effective solutions
  • be aware of guest satisfaction scores and work to improve them
  • participate in lobby ambassador and guest interaction activities
  • oversee front office operations in absence of management
  • perform bookkeeping such as balancing accounts and audits
  • make and confirm reservations
  • promote company and brand-specific marketing programs
  • greet guests upon arrival, register and assign rooms
  • provide welcome folders with keys and coupons
  • compute bills, collect payments, handle cash and make change
  • close out guest accounts and negotiate compromises if dissatisfied
  • create action plans to remedy service deficiencies
  • maintain cleanliness and appearance of hotel public areas
  • follow sustainability practices aligned with EarthView
  • practice safe work habits and comply with safety standards
  • perform other duties as requested by management
