We are currently seeking an experienced Front Office Manager to join our dynamic team. This is a key role within our hotel, responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the front office department. The Front Office Manager will ensure proper staffing levels by interviewing, hiring, supervising, training, and scheduling a diverse team including front desk agents, front office supervisors, guest service aides, bell staff, concierge staff, and PBX operators. This role demands a comprehensive understanding of all front office duties as the manager will occasionally step in to perform various tasks, ensuring seamless service even during peak periods or staff shortages.
The successful candidate will be highly skilled in managing guest interactions and operational transactions using the MICROS system, efficiently handling daily reports, and promptly addressing discrepancies. Communication skills are crucial for this position as the Front Office Manager will liaise closely with housekeeping and engineering departments to coordinate guest room statuses, fulfill requests, and address any maintenance issues. Greeting guests with professionalism and warmth, the manager ensures that check-in and check-out processes are swift and accurate while providing answers to guest inquiries and resolving concerns promptly.
This role requires working within a demanding environment where high standards of customer service, team leadership, and organizational skills are essential. Flexibility is a must; this role involves working varying schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays. Job Requirements
- Ability to calmly work with high demand and or upset guests
- High work ethic and self-initiative
- May be required to work varying schedules to include nights weekends and holidays
- Ability to work in a standard office environment
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer 6-8 hours a day
- Ability to stand and walk throughout the workday
- Frequent fine motor skills use of hands and fingers for keyboarding typing utilizing a mouse or trackpad writing and operating office equipment
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
- Occasionally required to stand walk bend reach or carry items
- Ability to lift and or move 10-25 pounds as needed e.g files office supplies
- Visual ability to read from a computer screen and printed materials including close visual focus for extended periods and color differentiation for certain roles
- Ability to hear and participate in conversations and meetings use phone and or headset
- Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of the role
- Open availability between morning and evening shifts required
- Will open and close shifts daily while supervising teams of associates on shift

Job Duties
- Ensure proper staffing levels of front office associates including interviewing hiring supervising training and scheduling front desk agents front office supervisors guest service aides bell staff concierge staff and PBX operators
- Have complete understanding of front office staff's roles and duties and be able to perform duties at any given time
- Accurately manage and operate the MICROS system at the front office including all daily transactions and those which are not performed often
- Accurately check AM and PM discrepancy reports
- Communicate with housekeeping and engineering departments regarding guest rooms requests and maintenance requests needs
- Efficiently process guest requests to the appropriate departments
- Greet and communicate cordially with guests promptly and professionally checking them in and out of the hotel answering questions and assisting guests with needs
