Watermark BR, located in the beautiful downtown area of Baton Rouge, is an iconic hotel that is part of the Marriott Autograph Collection. This unique establishment stands out for its rich historical significance and classic design. Originally built in 1927 as Baton Rouge's first skyscraper and serving as the headquarters for Louisiana Trust & Savings Bank, Watermark BR is recognized as the Old Louisiana National Bank building. The hotel showcases an eclectic architectural mix of Art Deco and Greek Revival styles, making it a landmark in the city. Its interiors feature beautifully preserved murals by the celebrated New Orleans artist Angela Gregory, carved marble walls, and a grand staircase leading to the original bank vaults. The hotel offers stunning views of downtown Baton Rouge and the Mississippi River, blending references from the 1920s through the 1960s with a modern aesthetic to create a memorable atmosphere for guests.
We are seeking a full-time Front Desk (Guest Services) Supervisor to join the Watermark BR team, reporting directly to the Guest Services Manager or Director of Rooms. The Front Desk Supervisor plays a critical role in delivering exceptional guest experiences by assisting in managing the front office operations and providing courteous, attentive service to guests from prior to arrival through their stay. This key supervisory position is tasked with ensuring smooth operations that maximize room revenue and occupancy, while maintaining high standards of hospitality. The ideal candidate will have progressive experience in the hospitality industry, ideally with supervisory exposure, and will be skilled in managing guest requests, reservation processes, and front office systems. Responsibilities include overseeing VIP and special guest requests, reviewing daily logs, and ensuring timely and professional handling of messages, packages, and mail. The role demands familiarity with hotel groups and the ability to work collaboratively with the wider guest services team.

Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least two to three years of progressive experience in a hotel or related field
- College coursework in related field helpful
- Previous supervisory responsibility preferred
- Valid driver's license from the applicable state

Job Duties
- Obtain all necessary information when taking room reservations and follow the rate-quoting scenario
- Monitor all VIP and special guest requests
- Review Front Office log and Trace File daily
- Fully comprehend and operate all relevant aspects of the Front Desk computer system
- Ensure logging and delivery of all messages, packages, and mail in a timely and professional manner
- Be familiar with all in-house groups
