The Front Desk Supervisor position at Dreamscape Hospitality is a pivotal role within the Rooms department. This role requires overseeing front desk operations to ensure a smooth, professional, and welcoming check-in and check-out process for guests. The Front Desk Supervisor will manage and coordinate the activities of front desk staff, ensuring schedules are optimized and team members are well-trained and supported. A critical part of this job is maintaining guest satisfaction by promptly addressing and resolving any complaints or issues that arise during their stay. Additionally, this role involves maintaining the accuracy of guest records and overseeing monetary transactions ensuring compliance with the hotel’s policies and procedures including safety and security. The position demands a candidate who is adept at multitasking and capable of working efficiently in a fast-paced environment. The Front Desk Supervisor also collaborates with various hotel departments to deliver seamless guest experiences, uphold cleanliness and organization of the front desk area, and contributes to marketing and promotional efforts when necessary. Job Requirements

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • additional education in hospitality management is a plus
  • previous experience in a hotel front desk or supervisory role preferred
  • excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • ability to handle multiple tasks and work in a fast-paced environment
  • strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • proficiency with hotel management software and Microsoft Office Suite

Job Duties

  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of front desk staff including scheduling training and performance management
  • ensure that all guest check-ins and check-outs are handled efficiently and professionally
  • address and resolve guest complaints or issues promptly and effectively
  • maintain accurate guest records and handle cash and credit transactions
  • collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless guest experiences
  • ensure that the front desk area is clean organized and well-maintained
  • assist with hotel marketing and promotion efforts as needed
  • uphold the hotel’s policies and procedures including those related to safety and security
