The Front Desk Supervisor role at Comfort Inn University Missoula is a critical position responsible for overseeing and coordinating the daily operations of the front desk and reception departments. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma required
  • Bachelor’s degree or some college experience preferred
  • Two years of front desk related experience or equivalent preferred
  • Must be available to work Friday, Saturday, Sunday evenings from 3 pm to 11 pm
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach continuously
  • Ability to use hand and finger dexterity for keyboard and office equipment
  • Occasionally able to lift, push, or carry up to 25 pounds

Job Duties

  • Organizes, directs, and monitors daily activities of front desk agents
  • Ensures efficient, friendly, and professional guest registration, check-out, and telephone service
  • Establishes procedures, prepares and coordinates schedules, and expedites workflow
  • Assists with hiring, training, motivating, and rewarding front desk agents
  • Reviews current day’s expected arrivals and checks VIP and special request reservations for proper pre-registration and communication
  • Reviews daily room availability and informs appropriate staff
  • Monitors status of departures daily and communicates relevant information to staff
  • Ensures completion of all necessary reports and forms daily
  • Performs front desk duties as needed including guest check-in, problem resolution, answering telephones, and guest check-out
  • Assists with guest needs including dining, entertainment, and transportation reservations
  • Helps resolve guest complaints and problems
  • Maintains the front desk area
  • Maintains thorough knowledge of hotel services, facilities, policies, room rates, and local area attractions
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by management
  • Available to work Friday, Saturday, Sunday evenings from 3 pm to 11 pm
  • Supervises employees within the department both directly and indirectly
  • Carries out supervisory responsibilities such as interviewing, hiring, training, planning, assigning work, appraising performance, rewarding, disciplining, addressing complaints, and resolving problems
