Job Requirements

  • Associate's degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school
  • Six months to one year related experience and/or training
  • Ability to stand and walk frequently
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds occasionally
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work under moderate noise levels
  • Ability to interact effectively with guests and staff
  • Availability to assist in various hotel operations as needed

Job Qualifications

  • Track record of delivering exceptional guest or client experience
  • Strong communication skills
  • Knowledge of Opera and internet software preferred
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
  • Ability to write simple correspondence
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations
  • Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's
  • Ability to perform operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations

Job Duties

  • Act as MOD in the absence of a manager
  • Prepare Sonesta Daily Flash and oversee VIP arrivals
  • Perform VIP escorts
  • Act as Lobby Ambassador
  • Assist Front Desk, PBX and Bell Staff at busy times
  • Track and follow up on in-house guest challenges
  • Resolve guest related issues
  • Liaison with other departments to ensure guest satisfaction
  • Assist with post stay guest follow up
  • Perform property rounds
  • Attend daily Managers Meeting and Pre-Cons
  • Monitor and coordinate Virtual concierge requests
  • Provide site tours of the hotel
  • Post charges such as room, parking, food, liquor or telephone to ensure collection of revenue
  • Assist in reservations or PBX as needed
  • Deliver passionate and engaging service to guests
  • Build solid relationship with colleagues
  • Other duties as assigned
