The Student Worker position within the School of Aeronautics is an integral role designed for individuals seeking part-time employment while continuing their studies at Liberty University. This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain valuable administrative experience and contribute to the efficient operation of the academic center. The successful candidate will join a fast-paced and dynamic team, supporting various administrative functions that are essential to daily operations. Responsibilities include greeting and assisting guests and students, answering and managing phone calls, handling incoming and outgoing mail, and providing organizational support for events and activities within the School of Aeronautics.

This part-time role requires a high degree of independence, the ability to work well under pressure, and excellent judgment in dealing with daily challenges. The student worker will assist the Associate Dean, Executive Assistant, Administrative Assistant, and faculty members by performing a variety of tasks such as opening and closing the lobby, keeping the area clean and stocked, maintaining briefing rooms, responding promptly to communications, and providing tours of the Academic Center as needed. The role also involves answering questions from students, staff, and outside vendors or directing inquiries to the appropriate personnel.

The position starts at a pay rate of $12.77 per hour, equivalent to or above the current Virginia minimum wage, with pay varying based on position, skills, and department funding.
