Job Duties

  • Checks in guests in an efficient and friendly manner using guest name whenever possible
  • assures guest is assigned the type of room requested and correct rate is charged
  • arranges for luggage delivery to guest's room
  • issues correct keys to guests
  • checks out guests at end of stay
  • ascertains guest satisfaction
  • collects keys
  • posts late charges
  • presents bill to guests and settles payment accurately
  • maintains a balanced bank assigned by the hotel by making change, cashing checks, and exchanging foreign currency
  • reconciles all transactions at the close of each shift
  • handles all guest interactions with hospitality and professionalism
  • accommodates special requests
  • resolves customer complaints
  • assists customers with inquiries on hotel services, hours, personnel, events, and directions
  • responds to guest requests promptly
  • utilizes various computer systems for check-in/out, running reports, and room assignments
  • works harmoniously with co-workers and supervisors
  • accepts reservations, changes, and cancellations when Reservations Department staff are unavailable
  • answers guest calls and directs appropriately when Communications Operator is absent
  • assists with Concierge, Bell Staff, Business Center, and lobby duties during high volume or absence
  • assists with Residential Front Office and desk coverage
  • provides basic troubleshooting support for in-room services like internet, TV, movies, games, and web service
  • collaborates with Bell Staff to ensure smooth handling of guest luggage, deliveries, and special requests
