Sante Health System is currently seeking a Front Desk Receptionist for its busy medical office, the Women’s Specialty Fertility Center (WSFC) located in Clovis, CA. This position acts as the essential frontline liaison between patients and the healthcare team, responsible for promoting a welcoming and professional environment. The Front Desk Receptionist plays a crucial role in patient experience by greeting patients warmly, providing clear instructions, scheduling appointments efficiently, and maintaining up-to-date patient records. An ideal candidate will be a kind, friendly individual with a strong background in the medical field and a genuine passion for patient care.

In addition to patient-facing responsibilities, this role supports vital administrative and operational functions such as managing incoming phone calls, triaging inquiries, verifying insurance eligibility, processing payments and co-pays, and preparing daily deposits. The receptionist is also expected to maintain confidentiality in handling patient records and comply with all health and safety regulations. Schedules typically run Monday to Friday with occasional weekend shifts as needed, offering a structured yet dynamic work environment.

The successful candidate will be positive, customer service-oriented, friendly, detail-oriented, self-motivated, and efficient. Strong communication skills are required for handling phone and email correspondence clearly and effectively. Responsibilities include multi-tasking and prioritizing competing demands to maintain a smooth front desk operation. Experience in women’s healthcare is preferred but not mandatory.

Job Requirements

  • Knowledge of office procedures
  • knowledge of managed care products such as HMO's and PPO's
  • knowledge of grammar, spelling and punctuation to type patient information
  • skill in operating a computer and photocopy machine
  • skill in greeting patients and answering the telephone in a pleasant and helpful manner
  • ability to handle large phone volume and assorted tasks expediently and accurately
  • ability to read, understand and follow oral and written instructions
  • ability to sort and file materials correctly and in alphabetical or numeric systems

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • minimum 2 years of work experience in a medical office setting
  • knowledge of computer and business office procedures
  • pleasant attitude
  • ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with patients, employees, and public
  • women’s healthcare experience preferred

Job Duties

  • Greet patients and callers in a congenial and professional manner
  • screen and respond to routine requests for information
  • triage phone calls
  • check patients in
  • check patients out
  • verify insurance eligibility
  • receive and post payments and co-pays from patients and issue receipts as required
  • run reports as required to balance charges and payments
  • prepare deposit for the day if required
  • attend meetings and in-service as required
  • maintain records in a confidential manner
  • comply with all work rules including those pertaining to safety and health
  • perform related work as required and other duties as assigned by the Administrator
