The Front Desk Receptionist, Patient Relations role at Denver Health is a mission-driven, customer-focused position within the Service Excellence department. This full-time role offers a flexible rotating shift schedule primarily from Monday to Friday, between 10:30 AM to 7:00 PM with occasional shifts from 12:30 PM to 9:00 PM to accommodate evening coverage needs. Compensation for this position ranges from $21.00 to $24.57 per hour. The primary responsibility involves staffing one of the three Patient Information desks located on the main campus, where the receptionist greets patients and visitors, answers incoming calls, and provides a broad range of clerical and customer service functions. This position requires strong interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with both internal staff and the public, fostering positive relationships through demonstrating respect, belonging, accountability, and transparency—the core values at Denver Health. Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish is highly preferred to meet the diverse needs of the patient population. The role demands proficiency in basic office procedures, equipment operation, and ordering processes, along with the ability to multi-task and exercise sound judgment under minimal supervision. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 1 year of clerical experience
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English
  • Bilingual in English-Spanish highly desired
  • Ability to operate office equipment and technology
  • Ability to work rotating shifts including days and nights
  • Willingness to comply with pre-employment drug testing

Job Duties

  • Provide customer service to staff the public and clients greeting them and assisting them with needs or directing them accordingly
  • Provide clerical support to management and supervisors as needed or requested
  • Maintain office equipment such as copier printers fax in operable order
  • Submit repair tickets for equipment malfunction facility work orders and medical equipment and maintain follow-up on all repair tickets and work orders for completion
  • Maintain ordering for department medical clinical janitorial and office supplies
  • Verify order delivery and follow-up on order errors or back orders
  • Fill office supply requests and maintain office administrative supply stock
  • Complete ordering processes as established by departmental or Denver Health established guidelines for purchasing
  • Prepare documents routinely or as needed following guidelines for specific document processing
  • Retrieve management signature and route to appropriate department maintaining follow-up of process completion
