Job Description
Valley Women's Health & Oncology is a specialized healthcare provider committed to delivering exceptional health services exclusively to women at all stages of life. Located in a compassionate and patient-focused environment, Valley Women's Health & Oncology stands out as a leading oncology clinic dedicated to providing high-quality, specialized care for women navigating complex health diagnoses. Their approach is holistic and respectful, ensuring that every patient receives tailored care and attention to meet their unique needs and concerns. This clinic is not only a medical facility but a supportive community that values empathy and respect in every interaction.
As a part of their commitment to excellence, Valley Women's Health & Oncology seeks to enhance its patient-facing services by hiring a Front Office Receptionist who will play a crucial role in shaping the patient experience from the initial point of contact through their entire journey at the clinic. This role is critical in maintaining the clinic's reputation for empathetic, well-coordinated, and professional care services. The Front Office Receptionist is the face and voice of the clinic, responsible for managing the first impression patients and visitors have upon arrival or when they reach out by phone.
This position requires a candidate with strong interpersonal skills, emotional intelligence, and the ability to manage sensitive situations with the utmost discretion. The role demands someone who can work efficiently under pressure, juggling multiple tasks while maintaining a calm and organized demeanor. The receptionist will be responsible for greeting patients and visitors warmly, answering or directing inquiries to the appropriate departments, scheduling appointments across multiple providers, and updating patient registration records accurately.
Moreover, the Front Office Receptionist will handle billing inquiries, collect payments, and ensure that the billing process is transparent and easily understood by patients. Comfort with maintaining HIPAA compliance and confidentiality is essential, reflecting the clinic's dedication to patient privacy and data security. The receptionist also supports the clinic's operational needs by maintaining office equipment, keeping the reception area clean and welcoming, managing provider schedules for three providers, preparing documents and correspondence, and contributing to the overall administrative efficiency of the clinic.
This position is part-time, requiring availability three days a week—Wednesday and Thursday from 7:45 AM to 4:30 PM, and Friday from 12:00 PM to 4:30 PM. The successful candidate will be a dependable team player who thrives in a fast-paced, people-centered environment and takes pride in delivering outstanding service that aligns with the clinic’s mission of compassionate care and clinical excellence.
