The Receptionist role at KEMBA Financial Credit Union Inc. is a critical position that serves as the first point of contact for visitors and employees at the corporate office. This role demands a professional and welcoming demeanor, ensuring every visitor is greeted warmly and assisted efficiently. Beyond front desk operations, the Receptionist contributes significantly to supporting Human Resources and Training departments through administrative coordination and logistical support. This multifaceted position requires exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail to manage daily operations such as mail handling, security badge administration, safety protocols, and onboarding support. The Receptionist is responsible for maintaining a clean and organized lobby environment that reflects KEMBA’s commitment to professionalism and security.

In this capacity, the Receptionist manages incoming and outgoing mail, including logging deliveries, tracking shipments, and coordinating carrier services to ensure timely correspondence. They act as the primary contact for employee and visitor security badge management, coordinating with Facilities to maintain strict building access controls and implementing security procedures. The role also involves regular updates and maintenance of emergency documentation and evacuation logs to uphold office safety standards.

Supporting the Human Resources and Training teams, the Receptionist assists with the preparation and distribution of essential reports and communications. This includes maintaining associate directories and managing corporate materials such as business cards and plaques. The Receptionist also administers KEMBA Wear orders, ensuring accurate reconciliation and distribution. Additionally, the Receptionist supports learning and development initiatives by organizing and tracking materials in the Learner Library and maintaining process and policy documentation on The Grove intranet system.

Upholding the highest standards of confidentiality is paramount, especially concerning Human Resources administration. Compliance with industry regulations and adherence to KEMBA’s internal policies and procedures are integral to the role. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent education and experience
  • Knowledge of most Microsoft Office software
  • Ability to maintain utmost confidentiality regarding Human Resources matters

  • Capability to manage multiple tasks and priorities efficiently

Job Duties

  • Serve as the primary front-of-house contact for the corporate office
  • Perform daily opening and closing procedures and maintain a clean and organized front desk and lobby
  • Manage incoming and outgoing mail and deliveries including logging and tracking shipments
  • Administer employee and visitor security badge processes and partner with Facilities on building access and security protocols
  • Maintain evacuation logs, emergency procedures, and support office safety communications
  • Support administrative onboarding functions and coordinate associate materials such as name badges and business cards
  • Provide administrative support to Human Resources and Training teams including report preparation and learner library management
