Job Description
Our company operates a specialized Electronic Monitoring Office under the Criminal Justice Agency, dedicated to providing monitoring services that support compliance and public safety through advanced electronic tracking programs. We pride ourselves on maintaining a close-knit, small workplace environment where every team member is recognized as invaluable, not just a number within a large corporate system. Our unique workplace culture emphasizes professionalism, accountability, and mutual respect among employees, stakeholders, community partners, and the individuals placed under our electronic monitoring programs. We offer meaningful long-term career opportunities with a supportive, personable atmosphere where the ownership team personally knows each employee, creating a collaborative and positive work environment.
We are currently seeking a professional and experienced Front Desk Receptionist for our Electronic Monitoring Office, a key role within our Criminal Justice Agency department. This position is not for someone seeking a temporary job but for a dedicated individual committed to being an integral part of our team over the long term. The Front Desk Receptionist serves as the primary point of contact for offenders under supervision, visitors, law enforcement personnel, and various community stakeholders. The ideal candidate should possess a calm, steady demeanor capable of handling a highly dynamic and occasionally stressful environment with a positive, friendly attitude.
In this role, the receptionist greets all visitors and clients in a respectful and nonjudgmental manner, manages incoming calls and electronic correspondence, and provides clear explanations of program procedures, payment obligations, and compliance expectations. They are responsible for collecting payments, issuing receipts, and maintaining accurate financial records with integrity and attention to detail. This role also involves scheduling appointments and check-ins, assisting with equipment-related visits, and ensuring that all front desk operations uphold the organization's strict security and confidentiality standards.
Successful candidates demonstrate strong interpersonal communication skills, empathy, patience, and consistency. They maintain emotional composure in sensitive or high-pressure situations and contribute to a cooperative team environment. The position involves cross-training opportunities to assist in other electronic monitoring-related administrative and operational tasks, enhancing skills and departmental cohesion.
The ability to communicate in Spanish is preferred but not a mandatory requirement. We offer a competitive pay rate starting from $21.00 per hour, reflecting our commitment to valuing the dedication and professionalism required for this essential position. If you are a detail-oriented, reliable individual who thrives on multitasking and fostering positive relationships, this role presents an excellent opportunity to develop a rewarding career within the criminal justice monitoring sector.
