Known for its mission-driven approach, AVANT emphasizes empathy, professionalism, and community impact in every role. The organization fosters a supportive, team-oriented environment, encouraging growth and a positive work culture. This creates an inspiring workplace for those passionate about making a tangible difference in their communities. AVANT operates with a clear focus on helping vulnerable and diverse populations by providing compassionate support and resources.
The Front Desk Receptionist role at AVANT is a unique opportunity for an administrative professional who thrives in environments where they can contribute meaningfully to the community. This is not just a standard receptionist position; rather, it's a role that acts as the first point of calm and clarity for individuals who might be experiencing stress or challenges. The receptionist serves as a warm, supportive presence, welcoming visitors and providing essential administrative support to ensure smooth operation of the community program. The role is ideal for someone who is organized, empathetic, and enjoys helping others in a respectful and patient way.
As a Front Desk Receptionist, you will handle a variety of duties ranging from greeting visitors and managing communication channels like phones and emails, to scheduling appointments and maintaining front desk operations. This position requires strong multitasking abilities and the skill to maintain a calm and safe environment while managing potentially sensitive situations. You will also assist with administrative tasks including data entry and document preparation, and help ensure that shared spaces remain organized and respectful.
AVANT values professionalism and discretion, especially given the diverse community you will be supporting. The position is suited for someone with experience in receptionist, administrative, or customer service roles, and a desire to support others with empathy and understanding. Bilingual Spanish/English skills are preferred, enhancing the ability to connect with a broader community audience.
This is a full-time, temporary position with a schedule of Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, totaling 40 hours per week, with the potential for employment extension or permanent placement (temp-to-hire). The dress code is business casual, and the work environment is designed to be supportive and team-oriented, with a clear mission to positively impact the community through every action. If you are ready to apply your administrative expertise in a meaningful way where you can see the impact of your work every day, this role at AVANT offers a rewarding chance to do just that.
