At Pacific Endoscopy Center, we pride ourselves on providing exceptional, personalized care in a comfortable and welcoming environment. Our expert medical staff employs advanced technology and demonstrated expertise to ensure the best diagnostic and therapeutic outcomes for patients.
We are currently seeking a PRN Front Desk Receptionist & Scheduler to join our patient-centered team. This role is designed for individuals passionate about delivering customer service excellence in a busy medical setting and eager to support the center’s commitment to patient safety, satisfaction, and seamless procedural scheduling. The PRN status offers flexible hours suited for candidates seeking part-time employment with competitive pay ranging from $18.00 to $21.00 per hour, dependent on experience.
The role of Front Desk Receptionist & Scheduler is vital to the patient experience at Pacific Endoscopy Center. You will serve as the initial point of contact, greeting patients and their families, answering and routing phone calls, verifying insurance information when required, handling patient records accurately, and performing cash collections. Your effective communication skills and professional demeanor are critical in managing the front desk's dynamic environment, particularly in high-stress situations.
In addition to typical receptionist duties, you will oversee surgical scheduling responsibilities. The Surgery Scheduler role involves maintaining the daily surgery schedule, coordinating with multiple stakeholders such as doctors’ offices and operating room staff, and ensuring smooth operational flow through strategic planning and problem-solving. This position requires a high level of organization, the ability to multitask efficiently, and a customer-centered approach to support both patients and healthcare providers effectively.
The ideal candidate will have experience working in medical office environments, possess strong clerical and organizational skills, and be comfortable using various office technologies, including computers, phones, printers, and fax machines. Bilingual abilities are highly preferred, reflecting the diverse population served by the center. This opportunity offers the chance to be part of a dedicated team, making a meaningful difference in patients' healthcare journeys while enjoying a supportive and inclusive workplace culture at Pacific Endoscopy Center and USPI.
