Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • One year of office experience
  • Bilingual Spanish required
  • Ability to communicate effectively with patients and staff
  • Must adhere to patient confidentiality and ethical standards
  • Willingness to travel to nearby locations as needed
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • One year of office experience required, two years of medical office experience preferred
  • Bilingual Spanish required
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to multitask and manage time efficiently
  • Familiarity with medical office procedures and insurance verification
  • Knowledge of patient privacy laws and ethical standards
  • Basic computer skills and proficiency with scheduling software

Job Duties

  • Greet all patients and guests with a smile and helpful manner
  • Assist patients in-person and over the phone with check-in and check-out processes
  • Schedule appointments and surgeries effectively
  • Verify insurance coverage and determine if prior authorizations or referrals are needed
  • Process payments and handle copays accurately
  • Maintain a clean and organized waiting room and work area
  • Triage incoming calls promptly and return messages or direct them appropriately
  • Travel to nearby Houston Eye locations for front desk coverage when necessary
  • Comply with all state and federal regulations and uphold patient confidentiality
  • Perform other duties as assigned based on business needs
