Job Requirements
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- One to three years related experience and/or training
- Able to read and comprehend simple instructions
- Able to write simple correspondence
- Able to present information effectively in person
- Able to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions
- Able to deal with routine problems
- Able to operate telephone and office equipment
- Able to work various schedules and shifts
- Physically able to move at least 20 lbs without assistance
- Physically able to bend, reach, and work in small areas
- Physically able to push and pull office equipment and furnishings
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- One to three years related experience and/or training
- Equivalent combination of education and experience
- Able to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
- Able to write simple correspondence
- Able to present information in one-on-one and small group situations
- Able to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved instructions
- Able to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations
- Able to operate telephone, emergency call system, monitoring board or beeper, photocopier
- Able to work various schedules and shifts as needed
Job Duties
- Answers incoming telephone calls in a professional, cheerful, and welcoming manner
- Determine purpose of callers and source calls to appropriate department or associate and/or voice mail when appropriate
- Retrieve messages from voice mail and forward to appropriate department or associate
- Answer general questions about the community and provide callers with address, directions, and other information
- Welcome on-site visitors, determine nature of business, and announce visitors to appropriate personnel
- Receive, sort, and route mail and maintain and route publications
- Maintain copy and fax machines, assist users, send faxes, and retrieve and route incoming faxes
- Create and print fax cover sheets, memos, correspondence, reports, and other documents when necessary
- Perform other clerical duties such as filing, photocopying, and collating
- Collect rent checks from residents and family members and provide needed information to Executive Director
- Collect money for meal tickets
- May perform other duties as assigned
