We are currently seeking a warm and detail-oriented Front Desk Receptionist to join our clinical operations team at our Houston home office. This role is crucial as the first point of contact for patients and their families, setting the tone for a welcoming and professional environment. The Front Desk Receptionist is responsible for managing various front office duties with a high degree of empathy, accuracy, and efficiency, ensuring smooth daily operations. This full-time in-person position offers compensation ranging from $15 to $16 per hour, depending on experience, and requires an eight-hour shift totaling 40 hours per week.
The successful candidate will greet patients and visitors warmly, handle appointment scheduling, process patient copays and balances, verify insurance information, and assist with billing-related tasks. Additionally, the role demands maintaining accurate electronic health records, including scanning and managing patient charts while ensuring strict compliance with HIPAA regulations and confidentiality standards. The Front Desk Receptionist is also expected to provide general administrative support, collaborating effectively with both front and back office teams in a fast-paced clinical environment. This position requires excellent communication skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office, and the ability to multitask and remain composed under pressure. Job Requirements
- Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent
- At least 3 years of front office experience preferably in a medical or psychology setting
- Knowledge of HIPAA guidelines and privacy standards
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to multitask and remain organized
- Dependable and professional work ethic
- Availability to work full-time, 40 hours per week
- Willingness to work onsite in Houston, Texas
- Ability to handle sensitive patient information with confidentiality
Job Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of front office experience in psychology or medical setting preferred
