Job Description

Bass Surgery Center is a leading ambulatory surgery center (ASC) known for its fast-paced environment and commitment to delivering the highest quality care to patients and their families. The center prides itself on fostering a supportive, compassionate atmosphere where health and care are inseparable elements of its mission. At Bass Surgery Center, every patient and family is treated with the utmost respect and personalized attention, ensuring a comforting and professional experience each time they visit. This approach not only supports the physical well-being of patients but also addresses the emotional and psychological aspects of healthcare and family support.\n\nThe role of the Front Desk Receptionist at Bass Surgery Center plays a pivotal part in maintaining this mission. This full-time position is essential to the patient experience, acting as the first point of contact for patients, families, physicians, vendors, and staff. The receptionist's responsibilities extend beyond traditional greeting duties, encompassing patient admissions, processing paperwork, updating patient information within the center's systems, and managing billing and financial transactions with accuracy and discretion.\n\nThe receptionist is also integral to the smooth operation of office communications, handling incoming calls efficiently, coordinating scheduling for procedures and anesthesia coverage, and supporting chart preparation along with other necessary business office tasks. Given the dynamic nature of the ASC setting, flexibility is crucial, with the possibility of floating to other locations for staff coverage as needed. Bass Surgery Center values individuals who demonstrate reliability, dedication, professionalism, and a keen eye for detail, alongside strong interpersonal skills that help foster a welcoming environment.\n\nBilingual skills in English and Spanish are considered a plus, reflecting the center's dedication to accessible and inclusive healthcare services across diverse patient populations. The organization also emphasizes a culture of inclusivity and diversity, understanding that these values enhance the quality of care provided and strengthen connections within the community and workforce.\n\nBass Surgery Center offers a competitive hourly pay rate of $25 to $30, reflecting the specialized expertise and dedication required in this role. The position includes comprehensive benefits such as medical, dental, and vision coverage; flexible spending accounts and health savings accounts; as well as retirement planning options like a 401(k) plan. Paid holidays and vacation time further support a balanced and fulfilling work-life integration.\n\nWorking at Bass Surgery Center means joining a team committed not only to surgical excellence but to creating a positive patient experience from the first point of contact onwards. The receptionist is a critical ambassador of the center's values and mission, ensuring operational efficiency while caring for the emotional and practical needs of patients and their families. This role is a unique opportunity for a highly organized, compassionate individual seeking a meaningful career within a respected healthcare organization dedicated to community care and professional growth. Bass Surgery Center’s partnership with USPI, a prominent healthcare management company, further strengthens its capacity to deliver exceptional surgical services with clinical excellence and inclusivity at its core. This alliance provides employees with a strong support network and a workplace culture that respects diversity and promotes equity among its team members.
