Job Description

USPI Hyde Park Surgery Center is a leading outpatient surgical facility specializing in various advanced medical procedures within ENT, Orthopedic, Pain Management, and Spine specialties. Equipped with three state-of-the-art operating rooms, the center prioritizes patient care and surgical excellence, adhering strictly to The Joint Commission Standards to ensure the highest quality and safety protocols. We are currently seeking a motivated Front Desk Receptionist to become a vital member of our team. This role specifically requires a dedicated individual capable of managing the initial patient interface with compassion and professionalism. The Front Desk Receptionist will be responsible for admitting patients, processing their paperwork efficiently, and updating patient demographic and insurance information within our system. This position requires precision in handling funds and collecting monies due while following established office procedures and healthcare billing processes. The role necessitates excellent communication skills as well, requiring the ability to answer incoming calls promptly and professionally to address patient inquiries, appointment scheduling, and general information.

The schedule is strictly weekdays only with no holidays, weekends, or on-call shifts, although early mornings and later evenings may occasionally be required based on the surgical schedule and daily flow. This role plays a critical function in maintaining the smooth operation of the surgery center by supporting daily administrative tasks, requiring attention to detail, excellent time management skills, and the ability to promote and uphold positive relationships with patients, families, physicians, and clinical staff. Job Qualifications

  • high school diploma or GED
  • minimum 2-3 years of hospital or medical office experience

  • professional appearance
