Job Description

Summit Spine and Joint Centers (SSJC) is a rapidly growing and reputable multi-state spine and joint care organization dedicated to providing comprehensive clinical, surgical, and imaging services. Founded on the principles of collaboration and patient-centered care, SSJC operates numerous clinic locations throughout Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Tennessee. The organization incorporates specialized care teams, including Integrated Pain Specialists (IPS) in North Carolina and Savannah Pain Management in Georgia, all working under the unified SSJC umbrella to ensure consistent, high-quality care across its expanding network. At SSJC, the commitment to professional development, quality outcomes, and supporting staff members as the organization grows is at the forefront of their mission. This establishes SSJC not only as a premier healthcare provider but also as an excellent workplace for motivated healthcare professionals seeking meaningful careers in the spine and joint care field.

We are currently seeking a dedicated and qualified Front Desk Receptionist to join our dynamic team. This position is part-time and comes with benefits, reporting directly to the Front Desk Operations Manager. The primary work locations will be within our Region 102 clinic settings, with the possibility of changes based on clinic coverage, business needs, and ambulatory surgery center (ASC) operating hours. The schedule includes a key shift in Columbia, operating Fridays from 8am to 5pm. This multifaceted role requires handling both administrative and clinical duties, specifically within our ambulatory surgery centers, necessitating a candidate comfortable with clinical tasks such as handling blood alongside traditional front desk responsibilities.

The Front Desk Receptionist will play a critical role in ensuring smooth patient flow and providing exceptional customer service by greeting patients, checking them in, collecting co-pays, verifying insurance information, and preparing medical charts. The receptionist will also be responsible for scheduling patient appointments, managing prescription verifications, and assisting patients by escorting them to vehicles when necessary. Effective communication is vital in this role, acting as the liaison between patients, administration, and other medical offices. This position requires someone who is detail-oriented, flexible, and able to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced clinical environment. A willingness to cross-train on clinical responsibilities and assist in multiple clinic locations, including ASC sites, is essential for success.

At SSJC, employees gain valuable experience by working with advanced electronic health record systems such as eClinicalWorks and become part of an integrated team dedicated to enhancing patient outcomes through coordinated care. Joining SSJC means becoming part of a caring, supportive environment that prioritizes growth opportunities, teamwork, and delivering top-tier spine and joint care services throughout the southeastern United States. For healthcare professionals eager to excel in a supportive, progressive organization, the Front Desk Receptionist position at Summit Spine and Joint Centers offers a rewarding opportunity to grow your skill set, build patient relationships, and contribute to a growing healthcare network committed to excellence.
