Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- ability to speak Spanish
- experience in ophthalmology for at least one year
- medical receptionist experience preferred
- customer service experience preferred

Job Duties
- Check patients in/out
- check office voicemail system and distribute messages accordingly
- collect patient information and data including insurance information for verification
- collect co-payments, deductibles and maintain payment log
- prepare new and existing patient charts for office visits
- request patient demographic information updates as needed
- assist in preparing patient charts for appointments
- provide payment log copies to Insurance and Billing Coordinators at the end of each day
- provide all monies to Billing Coordinator for verification
- prepare, notify and route insurance information updates
- perform recall duties
- engage in cross training with other office areas
- perform other duties as assigned
