We are currently seeking a highly organized and friendly Front Desk Receptionist to join our frontline team. This pivotal role acts as the first point of contact for patients, setting the tone for their entire visit. The ideal candidate will excel in providing outstanding customer service, managing a variety of administrative duties efficiently, and maintaining a poised demeanor even in a fast-paced healthcare environment. Key responsibilities include managing patient check-ins and check-outs, scheduling appointments, handling phone communications, and ensuring accurate maintenance of both electronic and paper-based records. Experience or familiarity with electronic claim submissions, particularly using systems like ACOM software, Trizetto, and Availity, will be considered an advantage.

The Front Desk Receptionist will be responsible for using various digital tools, including Google Workspace, to facilitate document management and team communication internally. This role demands excellent multitasking capabilities, attention to detail, and the ability to manage time effectively to prioritize competing tasks. The successful candidate should demonstrate strong interpersonal skills to interact compassionately and professionally with patients from diverse backgrounds, ensuring they feel welcomed and well cared for from the moment they arrive.

Additionally, the position involves maintaining the front desk area to create an organized, clean, and inviting space for clients and visitors. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • prior experience as a receptionist or in administrative roles
  • strong communication and customer service skills
  • computer literacy including proficiency with Google Workspace
  • ability to multitask and manage time efficiently
  • attention to detail and organizational skills
  • ability to work in a busy healthcare environment
  • knowledge of electronic claim submission systems like ACOM software, Trizetto, and Availity is a bonus
  • willingness to work full-time in person in Norman, OK

Job Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a receptionist or in a similar administrative role
  • strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse populations
  • familiarity with health care office procedures is a plus but not mandatory

Job Duties

  • Greet and welcome patients in a professional manner
  • manage incoming phone calls using phone systems, directing calls to appropriate personnel
